Update 8 January 2021

As we all settle in for another lockdown, we have taken the decision to close the Centre to all visitors and hirers, with the exception of our two educational groups, Jigsaw Preschool and FareGos.

The Community Centre buildings will be regularly manned and maintained by our caretakers during lockdown, however, the office will remain closed. We are managing admin remotely, so should you wish to get in touch, please email us - enquiries@titchfieldcommunitycentre.org.uk

With the roll out of the vaccine we remain hopeful for 2021. Let’s hope that we can get back to some sort of normality from next month and start welcoming our wonderful groups back to the Centre.

Wishing you all the best for the coming weeks.

We are now closed for Christmas
Titchfield Community Centre is now closed for the Christmas holidays, except for a few pre-arranged groups. Subject to tier announcements over the festive period, we hope to reopen on the 4th January for a limited number of groups. If you have an enquiry, please call 01329 842 933 and leave a voice message, or email us at enquiries@titchfieldcommunitycentre.org.uk and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

It has certainly been a challenging year for us at the Centre, but Christmas is the perfect time to reflect on the positive aspects of 2020. For us, this year has highlighted the dedication of our wonderful staff and their commitment to the Centre. Thank you to our office staff, management and caretakers for keeping it all going through such uncertainty. We are also so grateful to our remarkable team of volunteer officers who have given us their unerring support. For a charitable organisation like us, this year could have been disastrous. However, because of our devoted team, we live to fight another day and can’t wait to get back to full capacity in 2021.

A big thank you also to our brilliant regular hirers for their support and understanding. We miss you very much and can’t wait to have you back.

Wishing all in Titchfield a peaceful, healthy and happy Christmas. Bring on 2021!

Lockdown Update

5 November 2020

During this period of lockdown, the Community Centre will remain closed to the public and we will not be taking appointments.

We will remain open for our two resident education groups, Faregos and Jigsaw Preschool ONLY. The Centre is a recognised Covid-safe venue and we have undertaken strict measures to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

In line with lockdown rules, all of our other regular groups are suspended until 2 December, or until lockdown is officially lifted.

We wish all members of our wonderful community the very best for the next few weeks. We look forward to opening our doors again as soon as possible.

Stay safe!

Update on Group Activities

11 September 2020

Following the latest government legislation prohibiting social gatherings of more than six people, we have had enquiries from several of our groups to ask how it affects them.

The guidelines state that for organised activities, more than six people are permitted to meet, providing it is in a Covid secure environment and that social distancing is observed. We have  taken great care to put measures in place to prevent the spread of the virus (see below), and we also have a robust risk assessment. For those groups that have returned, they are also required to produce their own risk assessment. We are   satisfied that the Community Centre is Covid secure, therefore, we will be continuing with our plan to re-open for selected groups only.

We are still closed to the public at this time, and visitors are by appointment only. All visitors are required to report to Reception on arrival,
and complete an NHS Test and Trace form. Group leaders will be keeping their own registers for test and trace purposes.
We are not open for social gatherings at this point, and are not planning to take bookings for private parties until at least February 2021.
You are more than welcome to book a function now for February onwards, please get in touch if you would like to discuss your requirements.

Please watch this space for further updates and do not hesitate to contact us if you have a query. Stay safe!

Partial Re-Opening

Updated 11 August 2020

A big ‘hello!’ from us all here at Titchfield Community Centre, we hope that you and your families are safe and well. We have really missed you all! We have been working hard behind the scenes on a plan to re-open your Community Centre, based on government advice.
We are pleased to announce that we are partially re-opening this week to a small number of pre-agreed groups. Unfortunately, we are not able to open for all of our regular activities just yet, but we are continuing to review the situation and hope to be able to welcome back more groups from September.

The Centre is still closed to the public and all visitors are strictly by appointment only. If you wish to speak to us or make an appointment, please call 01329 842 933 or email tccadmin@btconnect.com. We are currently running with a reduced number of staff to comply with social distancing, so please bear with us if you don’t receive a reply straight away.

As we are still closed to the public, our toilets will remain for the use of visitors and groups only, so we ask you very kindly to respect this.

With regards to functions, we are directly in touch with hirers. We sympathise with those who were booked to celebrate a special occasion at the Centre in the past months. We hope that you will consider re-booking with us and that your party will be all the more special for the wait!

We have put a number of initiatives in place to ensure the safety of our visitors:
· 2 metre social distancing
· Face masks to be worn by all visitors
· Hand sanitiser dispensers at all entrance points
· Hand driers replaced with hand towel dispensers
· Reduced room capacity

· Cleaning each room between groups
· Sneeze screen at the main reception
· Only one person at a time allowed entry to the toilets
· Useful informational signage
· Coffee machine temporarily out of use

We will monitor how things are working very closely and adapt these measures as necessary. Rest assured, your safety at the Centre is our absolute priority and we will not rush to get back to business as usual until we are completely satisfied that it is safe to do so.

We look forward to seeing some of our groups this week. If you are in doubt as to whether your group is meeting, please contact your group leader directly. Please watch this space for further updates and do not hesitate to contact us if you have a query. Stay safe!
