Titchfield Community Centre has thrived for over 50 years thanks to volunteer committee members. It is their dedication and generosity of spirit that keep our doors open for our 3,000+ weekly visitors. Without them, we could not fulfil our mission of providing activities and affordable room hire to the community.
Some of our long-serving committee members have stepped down recently and more are due to step down in 2023 to take a well-earned rest and fully enjoy their retirement. We are terribly sad to see them go but their legacy will live long here at the Community Centre. If you feel you could step into their shoes and share your knowledge, skills and enthusiasm for the good of the community, we’d love to hear from you.
The role of the committee is to oversee the activities of the Association and ensure it fulfils its obligations as a registered charity. Members work with the Community Centre Manager and paid employees who run the centre on a day-to-day basis. On average, our committee members dedicate a few hours a month, either at the Centre, or from home.
The committee is divided into several sub-committees who oversee things like maintenance, refurbishment, finance, health and safety, policy and procedure and commercial activity. If becoming a committee member is not right for you, there are plenty of other ways you can get involved in helping at the Centre, such as gardening, maintenance, fundraising and marketing.
Volunteering at the Centre is hugely rewarding and an opportunity to join a fun, friendly team. It’s also a great way to make new friends and get involved in the wider community. To get in touch, please pop in, call or email.

Join Our Committee
The Centre is run by Titchfield Community Association, led by a team of volunteer directors. Their role involves overseeing the maintenance and improvement of our buildings, finance, health and safety, policy and procedure and our commercial objectives. We are always looking to recruit new committee members. If you feel you have skills which could be of benefit, could spare a few hours per week, and share our passion for the community, we would love to talk to you. |
Gardener or handyperson?
The Centre is split across two separate buildings built in the 1960s, with no less than eight different function rooms, three kitchens and three bars. Needless to say, it requires a lot of TLC to keep it looking good! We also have outdoor space that requires regular pruning and sprucing up. If you are a keen gardener or handyperson with time on your hands, we would be very grateful for your help. |
